I am a man who cares way too much way to fast. I've been working on that. Not letting myself get great expectations only to have my heart, or my wallet, crushed.

I do genuinely care about people, but one thing I've learned is that the only person in this world you can control, and count on, is yourself. I don't mean to sound cold or closed off, but I'm usually shy at first (at least in person) until I get to know what can and canâ??t be talked about. After you get around my walls I'm a pretty open book. Any thing and everything is OK to talk about, as long as you don't mind answering questions about yourself as openly as I do.

I'm very passionate about the modalities of homeopathic medicine and bodywork. I'm particulary fascinated by the body's ability for self-healing when coaxed along by various non-invasive methods. As medicinal practices move towards a more centralized focus between Western and Eastern ideologies I feel like the balance will produce amazing breakthroughs, and perhaps the healing that can occur will be more than just a cellular level. Perhaps even communally.

My consistent lifelong hobby has been music. I play guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, and cow bell. I've played almost every genre I can think of, but some of my favorites are Heavy Alt-Rock, Funk, Reggae, and Latin.

Let's see... I've recently (as of May 2006) finished attending college full time, majoring Computer Science. I currently work as a software developer for a Minnesota-based company.

I'm a bit of a geek/nerd. I enjoy computer programming, anime, Magic the Gathering, various role playing games (RPGs, and video games. Though these days I don't tend to do the anime or video game things nearly as much as I used to. I don't actually live in St. Cloud, but I don't really like giving my location out to random people over the Internet (I do live in greater Minnesota, however). I'm not a fan of pets. I was raised Catholic, but right now I'm fairly agnostic when it comes to religion. I tend to be very oblivious to a lot of stuff. Okay, that's an understatement, as I have in the past failed to recognize a person who I'd been in the presence of on a weekly basis for months. I kid you not.

I don't know how much merit the system actually has, but on the Myers Briggs Type Indicator I fall squarely in the camp of INTP. It's scary how well it describes my quirks.

I've been described as curious by someone whose opinion I think is reasonable, and I think that's a fair assessment. I often like to find out how things work. I can also spend hours on end browsing through random articles on wikipedia, learning random stuff that seems interesting.

Well, I work full time in a career that I enjoy, and I also go to school full time in Saint Cloud for a Bachelor's degree in Business. I put off school for some time to get a strong footing in my career, but now that I settled I feel it is time for me to get that degree I have wanted.

I do not really enjoy the party scene, though I enjoy to go out every so often and drink a bit if the mood strikes. I think most of that type of behavior is behind me, but I am okay with it. Sometimes I go out to the bars, and I can hold my own when drinking, but it is not something I do very often.

I golf and bowl, which makes me sound like I am forty years old or something, but I enjoy partaking in all sorts of sports as well. I like the outdoors, but I spend all of my work day out doors so I usually enjoy spending some quality time indoors when I get the chance as well.

I am pretty liberal, but not aggressively so. If you are aggressively conservative, that is about the only problem I have. I have some conservative elements to me as well, as I think most people do, but I am not entirely black and white with everything. I like to evolve and adapt as I experience things.

I am not religious. I have nothing against organized religion unless they are trying to jam it down my throat. I feel the same about hardcore atheists in that scenario. I am private about my beliefs and I am VERY open to others having their own private beliefs. I respect them as long as they do not judge me on it.

I like to travel, see and experience new things. I've been to Europe and most of the US. I go to the East Coast to see a couple of my friends semi-regularly. I like to work on old cars, and be outside. The last book I read was Electrical code book, it's very dry, and help's me go to sleep. I prefer comedies to slasher flicks, lakes over pools, and rock over hip hop.

A few years ago while meeting with my counselor (shrink if you will) he advised me, DO NOT SETTLE!!! He'd interviewed 600 single men and women of similar ages for a "better than e-harmony style" dating service he'd been planning to launch. He concluded that he ethically couldn't do it. In his psychological interviews he'd determined that for every 6 women that were had their heads on square and dateable, there was just one man. How could he try to match up 600 good women, with 100 good men? He abandoned his plan. (he was based in Monticello, and interviews were within 60 mile radius)

I have "settled" for somebody in the past....and as i've gotten older, hopefully wiser, and learned from my mistakes and from my previous relationships (teachers). I have a much better handle on what will keep a fire in our relationship. I will say i don't know what will make YOU happy, but I've learned the listening skills to make it happen, and you've probably heard enough liars to determine my true intent.

My list of "must have's" in my mate are these six: ( not in any order, because #1 is equally important as #6)

1. She must be physically attractive so that i'm proud to be with her. This doesn't mean you're a size 4!!! But you know that it's important to me that you look good, and you do it for me, and for yourself too! You could be a size 16 or a 2.

2. Admiration for me.....you compliment me, and admire my funnyness, my intelligence, and all the other great things about me that made you fall in love with me.

3. The good old "domestic support"....this could vary greatly as to the details of how it could work in our relationbship....but in the end, it is the creation of a peaceful and well managed home environment. I can cook and clean and do laundry with the best of men (and women) and am more than glad to help out. But, due to my skills my jobs repairing the home, the yard, etc....I find that it's best for you to be "in charge" of the house and i'm your helpmate as needed....i'll be "in charge" of the maintenance (garbage, homecare etc.)

4. Recreational Companionship>>> let's have fun together!!! I like a wide variety of things and will try most anything (believing variety is the spice of life) I love nature and wildlife, fishing & hunting, 4 wheeling, car rides to parks or any new places, and so much more. At times there are some trips that are "guy trips" for us to escape reality, but i would truely enjoy sharing my life with someone that enjoys doing some things similar to what i'd like.....I love music, and used to love to dance...still do, love singing, wish i could play an instrument and so much more....

5. Sexual Fulfillment> If you are someone that doesn't enjoy sex, or is a prude about it (yes, you're out there) then skip me! Sex is about intimacy, and we will both want to be sexually active because there is no other way for us to attain such closeness and beauty than to unconditionally love each other and fill our innermost needs. If the day comes where one of us can't do this....we're so content and in love we love the inner beauty so much we can do fine without it.

6. I believe in God. I don't get along with folks that preach at me. I'm not much for "organized" religion....so much of our infighting in the good old USA and around the world has been about religion, no need for infighting in our home. I don't want to debate catholic vs. lutheran. I was born into the Lutheran family, attended Lutheran college, was rebaptised as an infant, and at 25 yrs old in a baptist church and now would simply say that i'm a Christian.....I'm not a baptist, nor a lutheran, i'm just a guy that believes in God, and putting his arm around family and friend to support and be with and for them in any struggle they may go through. I'm a good ear...... If I go to church, it's for fellowship , and do not want to be a "member" that needs to subscribe to some doctrine created by men. I'm my own man.

Most women describe me as being very funny with a unique sense of humor that borders on the bizzare! I'm not really sure what to say. I love to go camping and take walks in nature. I do my best to be open minded. I'm a shy and quiet person at first. But I do warm up after a while.

I'm the kind of girl who likes to kick back in the summers at a bonfire, listening to the boys argue and rev their trucks. I love to snowmobile in the winter. I go to school at SCSU and have retracted my decision for a major, meaning I don't know what I'm going for at the moment.

umm...im not good at this, i've never done this before. i am 18 years old and live in st.cloud. i am currently going to st.cloud tech to get my generals done. i am a motivated person, but i tend to drink...lol. i love to have random conversations. i just got out of a bad relationship, he was an asshole, lol. i am definatly diffrent in many ways, you'll have to talk with me privatly about that. i Love heavy rock...and horror films. but i also have a sweet side. i like to make my companion happy!

In about a year, I plan to go to college. I would like to double major in business management, and culinary arts. I have always dreamed of opening up my own restaurant.
I like the outdoors, and anything that is considered "tomboyish". Fishing, camping, hiking, sight seeing, horseback riding, rock climbing, tubing, things like that. I also enjoy, like any girl, staying inside and cuddling up to a good movie! I like to write poetry, and read a good book every now and then. Occasionally I will sit down and knit a scarf, or purse, it helps take your mind off of things. I like spending time with family and friends, we always have some pretty good laughs! I like just about every genre of music out there, same goes for movies too!

Some random stuff about me: I like to sleep with a fan on all the time 365 doesn't matter what season:) I like mac and cheese and baked beans mixed, it's so good! I like to play in the rain! (I have always wanted to be kissed in the rain!) I have always wanted to be kissed upside down too, like in spiderman, that scene was the best scene in the whole movie. When I am upset I smile, I don't know why but I do. I like to smile anyway but that's one thing a lot of people don't know about me.

Stuff I like now: I like music it's one way people can express themselves and escape. I also write poetry. I absolutely love the outdoors. I also like being inside. I am not one of those girly girls. I don't mind getting my hands dirty. I do like to dress up but I don't mind just wearing sweats either. There is a lot more but if I write it all now then there will be nothing to talk about. :)

My dislikes: I do not like liars, cheaters, people who think they are all that, no one is perfect or better than anyone else, I don't like people who judge, it just shows how low you really are. I don't like fake people, someone you're really not.

What I am looking for: I am looking for a man and not a boy. I want a guy who can stick up for himself and who is not momma's boy. I want a man who can be faithful and honest with me. Who can hold a job and wants to do something with his life. Who isn't controlling and needs to know what I am doing every second of the day and tells me who I can and cannot hang out with. It's my life I say what I can and cannot do.

I grew up in Sri Lanka, an island in the Indian ocean and I've been in Minnesota for 2 years. I love the wilderness. I am a contradiction in terms. I am a woman who knows how to build a fence, frame a room, drywall, a little bit of electrical work, is not afraid to find out what might be wrong with my car, I know how to cut down a tree properly, and love to watch football (and by this I mean Sundays are reserved for that). I also love a good makeover, shoes, getting dressed up to go out on the town, a good tear jerker movie, and figuring out what colors would be right for my house. I also love an intelligent conversation or one that goes nowhere and has no significance to anyone or anything. I love a great bottle of wine but am perfectly content enjoying a Bud Light. I love rain pouring down and dancing amongst it as well as hot summer days and releshing the heat. I am a happy go lucky girl who goes with the flow most of the time but if the occasion arises I will speak my mind with the passion that drove that opinion to the surface. I go to church on Sundays but sometimes swear like a sailor.

i never know what to say here so if you want to know anything about me just ask. i do want to say though that some of those silly symbols are not true, i am very well mannered THANK YOU, lol.

I like to cook and read. I'm very indecisive at times but i also make impulsive decisions. I get restless when I'm in one place for too long so I'm always fidgeting. I get random moods where I just want to leave but its usually when I can't afford it. I like to party and dance a lot :) My heritage is very important to me, its something I take pride in. Ask me something and I'll answer honestly.

Dedicated to work. Can't get enough of my friends, the weirdos that they are. :) Just loving life. Most of the time I'm very laid back and joke around a lot, but it doesn't mean I don't have a serious side.

I'm a bit of a country guy, but I do have a bit of the city in me. I like the outdoors and anything that has to do with it; fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, the cabin, camping, boating and campfires.
